College football fans and media alike are preparing to bid farewell to longtime “College GameDay” personality Lee Corso. A former head coach and a legendary ESPN personality, Corso will appear on one final show in Week 1 before hanging up his mic.

Fans have been wondering and debating where Corso will make his final appearance, complete with the final headgear pick of his career. On Tuesday, that question was answered when ESPN revealed the pre-game show is heading back to Columbus, Ohio, for the rematch between Texas and Ohio State from this past season’s Cotton Bowl and College Football Playoff Semifinal.

It is a fitting ending to Corso’s era and headgear selections on many levels. After all, his first headgear pick was Ohio State ahead of an Oct. 5, 1996, matchup vs. Penn State. The Buckeyes are also Corso’s most-selected headgear pick, with the analyst donning Brutus a total of 45 times. Alabama is Corso’s 2nd-most-donned headgear at 38 times.
